"We in truth prolonged the movie, to be honest,” stated Moretz, who performs the titular telekinetic. “We did some reshoots [in Toronto this past could], and added three additional scenes with Julianne [Moore, taking part in Carrie’s mother Margaret] and that i to make the film even deeper and darker." Reshoots most often mean a film is taking part in weaker than the filmmakers’ expectations, however Moretz says this isn’t so.
"We prolonged a few scenes that wanted to have an additional moment or an additional beat simply to make it even deeper," she told the magazine. "It wasn’t about slicing anything out or looking to edit round things; it used to be about including extra to make the film scarier and extra excessive." in fact, that is all coming from Moretz, who most certainly heard Pierce say something equivalent, so it’s imaginable her views are guided.
the actual fact, though, is that neither De Palma’s Carrie nor King’s novel had been as much frightening as as they have been really fucking irritating (aside from for that final scene of the film, which used to be pretty damned scary). The story is set a mistreated young lady’s sexual maturity resulting in telekinetic powers. Her zealot of a mother (whom I still can’t see Moore enjoying) and her classmates deal with her like a freak, and so she unleashes on them. It’s one among King’s shortest works, and it’s stuffed with non-filmable parts like full information articles. If Pierce is filming something that’s even scarier and darker than what we’ve seen before, then it’s definitely coming from somewhere as opposed to the supply subject material. &#thirteen;
